There are certain steps that one must follow when using any kinds of French Press coffee makers. As long as you follow these correctly then the chances of you making a great tasting cup of coffee with this type of equipment time and time again is increased.
Even though the process of making coffee with such equipment is very simple mistakes can occur. So to ensure that you do make a great tasting coffee when using your French Press coffee maker we offer some guidelines below you may find helpful.
1. Each time you measure out a heaped tablespoon of coffee grinds for each cup of coffee you wish to make in your French Press coffee maker place them immediately into the bottom of it. This will help to ensure that a large amount of the grinds will be pressed to the bottom of the pot by the plunger and filter ensuring that the drink doesn’t have too much sediment in it.
2. Only pour the water on to the coffee grinds once it has reached boiling point as this will help to ensure that the essential oils inside the ground coffee beans can be extracted better. The more of the oils that are extracted then richer and fuller the coffee you make will taste.
3. After you have actually poured on the water make sure that you stir the mixture thoroughly. Again this will help to ensure that a large amount of the essential oils in the ground coffee is removed. Then after stirring allow the coffee time to brew around 4 minutes should be sufficient time. However for those who want a much stronger tasting coffee then allow the mixture to brew for a little while longer. Then when you feel the time is right now slowly press down the plunger.
